What Is Involvement?

Involvement is a process of consulting and involving children and young people. It involves a committment to the inclusion of all children and young people whatever their background or ability.

Involvement= engaging children in decision making processes and activities. Engaging children in delivering the services themselves

Consultation= seeking the views of children and using the information to inform decisions about services

Participation= a process through which all children and young people are involved and taken seriously in processes to make their own decisions, define their own agenda, express themselves and be heard.. This is done through ensuring children have genuine ownership
