ibk initiatives

ibk initiatives helps organisations put disabled children and young people at the centre of their practice. They open up opportunities for meaningful consultation, enabling individuals and agencies to find out what disabled children and their families think about any given issue. They are continually evaluating and renewing ways of engaging with disabled children, young people and their families, actively discovering and creating means of establishing real dialogue - including those who do not use language.

Young Advisors
Sheffield Young Advisors

Sheffield Young Advisors are young people aged between 16 and 19 (up to 25yrs for young people with additional needs) who show community leaders and decision makers how to engage young people in community life. They make sure Young People are given the chance to be involved in decision making and influencing change, regeneration and renewal.

Equal Voices

Equal Voices is a company of artists and practitioners who deliver high quality inclusive workshops, performances and training. They plan and deliver arts and media projects for a wide range of organisations.

They are passionate about inclusive work, creating a vision of an integrated aesthetic. They create a space where everybody’s voice is heard equally.

ChilYPEP Children and Young People's Empowerment Project (ChilYPEP)

The Children and Young People's Empowerment Project (ChilYPEP) works alongside children and young people aged 0 to 25 years to find fun and creative ways of involving them in the decisions that affect their lives.

Inclusive Solutions provide training, consultancy and advice and carry out inspirational teambuilding.

Inclusive Solutions makes available cutting edge practical strategies and ideas for developing effective inclusion in mainstream classrooms, schools, early years settings and communities. They use ideas that have been developed internationally and adapt them to the UK context.

Early Years Participation

Early Years Participation Team,
Sheffield City Council

The Early Years Participation Team provides a service of training, advice and support for those working with children aged 0 - 5 years. They are currently developing training for parents on participation and self-help resources on consulting with children aged 0-5 years.
