Meeting Lincolnshires Young Inspectors

Jo Tasker a Quality Development Officer from Lincolnshire County Council got in touch with us as she had just finished training her Young Inspectors. She invited us to meet her Inspectors to share knowledge and experiences.

12 of our Inspectors went to The Showroom in Lincoln to take part in the day. They delivered a presentation and answered questions. They took part in team building activities, had the opportunity to climb and enjoy the purpose built youth centre.






Receiving the Youth on Board Award
17th December 2012 - Houses of Parliament, London
Meeting David Blunkett

The Young Inspectors won the Youth on Board Award in the Inspiring Project category from the British Youth Council. Three of our Young Inspectors were given the exciting opportunity to go to the Houses of Parliament to collect the award on behalf of everybody involved in the project.

The young people met MPs David Blunkett and Ed Timpson. It was a very exciting day, not only collecting the award but also sightseeing around London.




Training Barnsleys LINk Inspectors

Natalie Ashton, Project Worker for Barnardos contacted us to train her new LINk Inspectors. We delivered a full day of training at Greenacre school in Barnsley.

The young people created their own set of inspection standards based around their expectations of health services. They are now out changing and improving health services in Barnsley.

The Centre for Excellence and Outcomes in Children and Young People's Service's (C4EO) validation panel, judged the Young inspectors Project as ‘promising practice’, the highest category it was eligible for at this stage in the project’s development. It was published on their website.
